This place is my solace
A place I can be me
I can be free
A place that causes insomnia
And also induces sleep
A place I can be creative
A place of fun
The characters are alive to me
I only wish I could be a part of their world
No matter how hard I wish
No matter how long I wish
I will never be a part of their world
They will never be a part of my world
It will only ever be that, a wish
Many nights I've spent my last vestiges of conscious thought here
My dreams filled with new situations to put these characters in
These characters that seem so real
These characters who are me
They’ll always be free
Here is where they’re free
Here is where they’ll live on
